As a media composer, Larry’s credits include the
theme music for the PBS series LIFE PART II, several
independent film scores, hundreds of promos and
commercials (including McDonald’s Shamrock Shake,
Subway, AARP, Nurse Jackie, Curb Your Enthusiasm,
Bored To Death and many, many more) and a myriad
of in-show usages (including Supernatural,
The Good Wife, Arthur – 2011 film version, The Change-Up, CSI, etc).

In the field of orchestral music, Larry’s piece CHORALE AND FIDDLE TUNE recently won the
Pittsburgh Symphony’s H.J. Heinz Audience of the Future Composition Contest. His orchestral
overture BY STEAM OR BY DREAM also took second prize in the 2016 Keuris Composers Contest

Starting out his musical life as a classical bassist and then moving into rock and pop music
(with Warner Brothers recording artist RUSSIA), Larry eventually went on to become one of
the foremost proponents of the Chapman Stick, playing Stick and composing for the
groups FREEWAY PHILHARMONIC and STRING PLANET.

 

Novi_1NOVI NOVOG – Composer
Composer and violist Novi Novog has an improbably
long list of credits highlighted by her viola solos on
such big chart hit singles as The Doobie Brothers’
“Black Water” and Prince’s “Purple Rain” and
“Raspberry Beret.”  Novi’s composition TANGO FLAMBE
was featured in the trailer to Woody Allen’s hit film
MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, with Novi herself playing the
featured solo viola part as the clock strikes twelve. TANGO FLAMBE has also been
used as the background music for GAME OF THRONES’ blooper reel for the past two seasons.

She studied composition at Cal Arts under Leonard Stein and Alan Chaplin, and is an
accomplished string arranger.  As a violist, Novi has performed on recordings by artists as
diverse as Lauren Wood, James Taylor, Madonna, Bonnie Raitt, Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi,
Neil Diamond, Kenny Loggins, Ray Charles, Julio Iglesias and Shawn Colvin
(and about a zillion more).
